There is no shutter squeak.The light seals have been replaced with a commercially available kit.I purchased this item used, but due to the rising cost of film, I am selling it without having put any film through it.The corner of the eyepiece is chipped, and there are some scratches, stains, and peeling rubber, but I believe it does not affect use.
