No Poverty

₦ 0 of ₦ 1 million raised

No Poverty is one of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

It aims to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. Its objectives include ensuring that the entire population and especially the poorest and most vulnerable have equal rights to economic resources, access to basic services, property and land control, natural resources and new technologies.

Highlights of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index survey reveal that 63% of persons living within Nigeria (133 million people) are multi-dimensionally poor.

The wealthiest and most populous African country, Nigeria plays a substantial role in global poverty alleviation. Its success or failure has wider implications for the rest of the developing world. The economy is dependent on oil, creating inherent vulnerabilities for supply chain disruptions.

Insecurity is widespread and prevented farmers from reaching their farms. Depending on the stability of the wider world, millions of additional Nigerians could fall into poverty within a relatively short span of time.

Realizing this, we at ROE have been making a conscious effort in strategically training the vulnerable youths and women in skills acquisition and empowerment. We train them on fish smoking, fish farming, soap making, crafts, shoe making, bag making, hairdressing, tailoring, making of hair tie, barbing, and many more. After the skills acquisition training, we empower some participants financially to start their businesses or trade and monitor them closely until they become successful and take care of themselves and their families.

We appeal to you to make a donation to support this noble course of no poverty empowerment program. Your generosity will make a difference in the drive towards no poverty in Nigeria. Any amount given is automatically receipted and tax deductible. God bless you as you reach out to bless the poor through your giving.

The “Zero Hunger” Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nations focuses on finding sustainable solutions to stop world hunger.

The targets of the Zero Hunger initiative are to end hunger and make sure that enough nutritious foods are available to people by 2030.

We at ROE decided to key into this initiative by feeding the hungry on the streets in chosen areas in Nigeria.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) projected that about 25.3 million people in Nigeria would face acute food insecurity during the June to August 2023 lean season.

To reduce the impact of hunger, and its associated consequences, we at ROE collaborate with stakeholders to feed the hungry in different areas in Nigeria and every other place of significant interest.

To sustain this initiative and empower the indigenes to become change agents, requires the collective efforts of everyone in addition to required funding. When resources are pulled together, so much can be achieved.

Good Health & Well-Being

₦ 0 of ₦ 10 million raised

Achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) requires the collective effort of various stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

SDG 3 aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. The chronic and catastrophic disease remains one of the main factors that push households from poverty into deprivation.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) impose a large burden on human health worldwide.

Currently, 63% of all deaths worldwide stem from NCDs – chiefly cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes.

ROE contributes to achieving SDG 3 in communities:

  1. Health awareness and education: We organize health campaigns, workshops, and training sessions to raise awareness about key health issues.
  2. Advocacy and policy influence: We advocate for policies that prioritize health and well-being at the local, national, and international levels.
  3. Data collection and monitoring: we play a crucial role in collecting health-related data and monitoring progress towards SDG 3. By identifying key health indicators, tracking health outcomes, and assessing the effectiveness of interventions, we contribute to evidence-based decision-making and adaptive programming.

Some of our recent programs and activities included free medical outreach programs, at least once annually where we invite people for free medical consultation, free eye care, free glasses, free surgeries, free drugs, free blood pressure checks, free blood glucose checks, and lots of others.

Over 1,500 people have benefited from this program and many more are looking forward to benefits, but this costs money.
